Microsoft plans to combine search tools through Microsoft Search platform

At this years Ignite Microsoft announced the centralization of their search tools from the likes of Windows, Bing and Office (including OneDrive and ShraePoint) into one unified search tool called Microsoft Search.

Microsoft Search should combine the results of all platforms and thus combining local and web results in the same result set. This means that your search can retrieve web sites, images, videos, photos, documents or Office and Windows commands within the same search.

The roll out of the Microsoft Search platform starts immediately for Bing and Office users, while Windows will get the update during 2019.
